where's the warmth in heart's refrain?

wind whispers secrets to the peaks,
that chill in the air, a test of might,
a snowflake dances and landing it seeks
on this vision dressed in white.

my wishes for spring lie in the frost
my *colorful dreams, now empty quests,
nature's lessons I easily lost,
yet, this silenced day, I find my rest.
