Forced Myself to Write

It hasn’t been a very well day today in a lot of ways. That didn’t stop me from writing, though. Probably slowed me down quite a bit, but it didn’t stop me. Unfortunately, I only got two sections/parts written today for my WDC Short Story for this month.

That only leaves four more parts/sections left to write before I finish writing this Short Story. Unfortunately, it looks like I’m going to be after to finish writing it in the next day or two. After all, I’m not working this weekend. So, I have plenty of time to finish writing this Short Story.

That’s the good news about today. I should be able to finish writing my WDC Short Story for this month. The bad news is that I’m going to be able to do it. Usually, it would be next Sunday or Monday before I could go back to writing it, but not this week.

I will also be writing two blog entries for today. one for today, and another one I will be posting soon after midnight WDC time. That’s because if I’m working, I don’t get off work until midnight WDC time. That means if I don’t do it before I go to work, I will miss another blogging day.

Why is it going to be like this, this weekend? It’s the same reason why I haven’t been feeling like writing today. I think I may be fighting another cold, but that isn’t the reason I didn’t feel like writing today. It was because of what was happening in my life.

It hasn’t been a good day in my life today either. First of all, I didn’t get too much sleep last night. About five hours of sleep if I’m lucky. Probably because I was worried about what was going to happen today. Unfortunately, I was right regarding that too.

When I got up this morning, I found out we wouldn’t be getting our car back after getting it fixed until the middle of next week. That meant I couldn’t work this weekend. It also meant I had to email my boss about not being able to work. His reply was a threatening one.

My brother was trying everything he could to get the car back today so that I could work this weekend after all, and he eventually did it. Unfortunately, he was too late. My shifts for this weekend were already filled by the time I got an updated email to my bosses.

As I wrote above, the good news is I should be able to get this WDC Short Story finished this weekend, but it’s at a cost. That cost is missing another work weekend. At least we got our car back. It still needs some fixing, but we can get that done next week when the parts finally come in.
