Another Three Only

Today was a lot like yesterday. After all, I barely got three more sections/parts written for my WDC Short Story for this month. I was hoping that I would get another part/section finished, but it didn’t work out that way. Why didn’t I get the fourth one written?

That’s a very good question. Unfortunately, it’s the same reason I only got three written yesterday. It was mostly because of a lack of sleep and a lack of concentration, and the lack of concentration was mostly because of the lack of sleep. I only got about six hours of sleep last night.

I thought that I was going to get about eight hours of sleep last night, but it was only around six hours. If it was even that much. Why didn’t I get more sleep last night? I don’t know because I should have gotten about nine. After all, I went to sleep with almost nine hours of sleeping time, and I went to sleep somewhat quickly.

Usually, I get up a couple of times whenever I sleep, but I’m normally only up for a few minutes. Sometimes it’s a little bit longer than that, but typically it isn’t. When I go back to sleep, I usually get back to sleep very quickly. Every so often, I don’t get back to sleep right away, but most of the time I do. Unfortunately, I didn’t last night.

Even with getting up a couple of times last night, I still should have been able to get at least eight hours of sleep last night. Maybe even a little bit more than that depending on how soon I went back to sleep. So, why didn’t I get more sleep? That I don’t know.

The only reason I can think of as to why I didn’t get more sleep was because of my brother. No, my brother and I didn’t have things that needed to be done today. Especially, something we needed to do early in the morning. It was because of our car problems again.

My brother woke me up early to tell me he was taking the car in to get it repaired. I tried to go back to sleep, but I couldn’t do that. It wasn’t all my brother’s fault, though. Most of it was because of me. I did try to go back to sleep, and I did nap a little bit, but I couldn’t mostly because I was writing the WDC Short Story in my head.

As a result of my sleepiness all day today, I also had a lack of concentration. I knew what I wanted to write. After all, I spent about two to three hours last night thinking about it. Just didn’t know how to write it. That lack of concentration wasn’t the only reason, though.

I also had to do some rewriting on the first half of this Short Story. Luckily, the fifth section/part wasn’t too much over two hundred words. So, it wasn’t too hard to get all the first parts/sections under two hundred words. It didn’t take too much time to do it, but I did need to do it.
