I was right about whether I would get this WDC Short Story done before Friday when I go back to work and continue working on my Water Wars scriptwriting project. Unfortunately, I was also right about when I would get it done. It has been finished, but it hasn’t been created yet.

It took me most of today to finish writing the last three sections/parts of this WDC Short Story. As it has been for the last couple of days, the first part/section took a long time to write. The other two sections/parts only took about two hours to write. Around an hour less than the first one.

That’s how long it took for me to finish writing this Short Story. Unfortunately, that’s all I have been able to do so far with it. I still have some rewriting left to do on it to keep it under a thousand words for the second half too. It’s not as bad as it reads, though.

Why isn’t it as bad as it reads? That’s because it wasn’t that much over a thousand words. I don’t need to eliminate as many words as I thought I would need to do this month. it’s only about thirty words, and I may be able to do that with my tenth part/section.

What does all this mean for my WDC Short Story for this month? It means that I won’t be able to rewrite it and create it until this Sunday. I may try to rewrite it before this Sunday, but it will probably be Sunday before I can Create it.

For the next couple of days, I will be at work. When I get home from work, I barely have the time and energy to write my blog entry for the next day. Especially, for the one I write for Saturday. The blog entry for Sunday can wait until the end of Sunday, but the Saturday one can’t.

I had only about a half hour to spare today to finish rewriting this Short Story, but I didn’t think that would be enough time. So, I decided not to do it. Give me a day or two to think about it, and I think it will go a lot faster if I wait.

Another couple of days isn’t going to matter that much. I usually don’t get too many reviews on my short stories. This one may be a little bit different because of the subject matter. Maybe I will get some more reviews this time, but I doubt it.

Getting reviews isn’t why I write these short stories. I do it for the challenge. Especially when it comes to my Science Faction, I mean Science Fiction, short stories. It’s a challenge for me to remember a Short Story with the prompt given. I think I did a very good job with this one.
