If I had to invent something really useful, I'd invent a robot who can do car repairs. He would be preprogrammed with tools and instructions for every possible make and model from the past ten years or so, with optional packages for specialty services such as older cars or foreign models. They might even come in packs of two bots each, in order to properly fix the vehicles. A fuel pump, for instance, usually requires two people to get it done unless you have a flat adjustable height table thingy to rest the fuel tank on… anyway, two bots is better than one.

All you'd have to do is plug them in, charge them up and keep them in the car with you, and they'd be ready to help you whenever you needed it. They can change a flat tire when you're on the side of the road, so you don't have to put yourself in danger. And you would never have to pay for labor on repairs again. Just think how nice it would be to not have to drop your car off with unsavory, untrustworthy mechanics anymore. No more haggling over prices and shopping around for one you feel comfortable with.

If they were really advanced, they could even convert into drones to fly to the auto parts store and pick up the required parts for you and bring them back to wherever your car is. It all makes perfect sense - why hasn't it been invented yet?

If I could change one thing, I'd change myself to be able to deal with people more easily and sensibly. Being more of a reasonable people person would solve a lot of my problems and make me much easier to get along with. I'd be able to treat others more kindly and considerately, and life would be smoother for everyone. Some people are just born with an incredible people sense. I always think of Dan Reynolds' eldest daughter Arrow, born in 2012; ever since she was a tiny toddler, she had such an uncanny wisdom about how to treat others. She's a true old soul, and I'd love to be more like her or even just be her friend. It's been amazing watching her grow up. She has a bright future ahead.

I just got through my Alice in Wonderland project by writing a story about how you shouldn't mess around with Time. I wouldn't want to modify Time because all kinds of crazy stuff could happen and I'd have to find a big fat Reset Button pretty fast! Time is way too fragile to change. We have to focus on making the best of what little time we have, rather than fretting about trying to change it in any way. God is in control of Time, and He's outside of Time, and we humans are not wise enough to handle having any kind of control over how it passes. We can barely handle it as it is.
