Small green signs on the side
swear you are not alone - but
that is absolutely what you are.

There are jumpers & I reckon
I am headed for the same fate
or am fated for the same head

the one that's tired to the point
where nothing works but sleep
escape is everything you crave

each time I cross, it pulls at me
I do not answer & I never tell, a
bitter pill to pocket in my cheek

today the news tells of another
more to follow more to fly again
I fear I'm slated for that final fall.
