No Poem Today

I’m out of ideas no poem will come
the prompt doesn’t speak to me
poetry every day is unreasonable
my poetic license has expired
my connection is dodgy I drop out
trains of thought get no signal
I’m not wearing good poetry clothes
such little time is running out
all the good poems are written
I sit in a sea of discarded drafts
clearly I won’t get a poem in today
