Fantasy and Fairy Tales Prompt 26
Nancy loved seeing the rainbow. It had been a hard rain. She thought she saw something at the end of the rainbow. A pot of gold. That's what everyone said you would find. Nancy laughed and ran through the mud puddles. This was a good feeling. She got to the end of the rainbow. She saw a bridge. Oh no. Not a troll. She saw an animal. It was brown with white stripes on his bottom. It was skinny like a grey hound in his back quarters. It was a Tasmanian Tiger! It couldn't be. The animal growled and ran under the bridge.

Nancy was stunned. The bridge was at least two miles long. She sat by the bridge. Two baby Tasmanian Tiger babies came out. They were so cute. Nancy reached out and touched one of the babies. It licked her hand. The adult Tasmanian Tiger came out and was getting ready to attack her. She screamed.

It thundered and fog appeared. Nancy couldn't see anything. The fog cleared. The rainbow disappeared. The Tasmanian Tigers were gone and so was the bridge. She was standing in a meadow. She decided it was time to go home. She couldn't tell anyone about the Tasmanian Tigers. She lived in Indiana. Who would believe her? She headed back to her car. The Tasmanian Tiger watched her. No one could see him and his family unless there was a rainbow. Nancy didn't tell anyone. She never tried to find the end of a rainbow again.
