The Secrets of AI

While I should not encourage it,
I asked AI to tell me a secret,
& I got this:

The clouds have a secret language, and on quiet Sundays like today, they whisper stories to the wind.

I was brought up to have
good manners, so I thanked
the transparent AI assistant
& requested three more secrets.
They are oddly similar:

The stars twinkle in code, and if you watch closely, you'll decipher the universe's hidden messages.

The trees have a secret network, sharing wisdom and stories through their roots, and they're always whispering ancient truths.

The sunsets have a secret palette, painting the sky with colors that only reveal themselves to those who gaze with wonder.

These secrets share some
syntax, there’s a pattern,
a try, for poetry, or whimsy,
or depth. I sent my thanks
for art-ificial secrets & said goodbye,
& still I fear the secret life of AI.
