I have traveled back in time and live in Jane Austen's time. I am a Lady and I married a noble. I didn't marry for love. I tell my maids what it is to be done for the day. I choose a dress to wear for the ball coming up this weekend. I talk to my husband about important things. I don't talk back or say no. I quilt with friends of the ton and have tea parties. We have no children. I don't think my husband would have time for us anyway. He is a tea dealer and takes trips.

I ride my horse. A beige horse I love. My mother and I visit once a week. The in-laws. My mother-in-law is a snob but I don't talk back. I behave like a lady. I have everything a woman could want except a loving husband. He doesn't pay much attention to me. Other men flirt with me but I don't flirt back. I don't want a lover. I behave like a proper lady. My mother taught me that. A lady of the ton. Sure beats being poor.
