This Summer

This Summer

Summer comes bright and blessed
Blue skies, shady trees and cool springs
Singing birds and flowing brooks
Beckon us to visit hills and dales
Where peace reigns, where beauty resides.

We chose a cool hill station named Nainital
a place with pearly skies and water falls,
lake rides and pony trips to pockets of splendor
up the mountain and down on pastures and plains.

Like the Bennett sisters we plan to walk on
through field after field and neat pathways
to uplift our mood and philosophize on life
to gaze in wonder at the creative marvels
by the Lord of the Universe, Artist Superior,
inimitable, matchless and miraculous mending.
