A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
Finished This Movie Introduction Too All I needed was fifteen paragraphs to finish writing the Tag Act for the Part Two Scene Outline for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. At first, I didn’t think I was going to be able to do that. Only this time it wasn’t because of how much time I had to write them. It was because of how I wrote them that was my problem today. I had about six hours to work on this Scene Outline. So, I had plenty of time to get these fifteen paragraphs written to end this Scene Outline and Movie Introduction. It wasn’t the amount of time today that slowed me down today. No, it was the writing of some of the paragraphs themselves. It's kind of hard to explain. I knew what I wanted to write for each paragraph. But I didn’t know how to write it within the four-, five-, or six-line lengths I was working with for each paragraph. Some of those limitations were easy to rewrite. And some of them weren’t. the ones that weren’t were the ones I had trouble with. It took me almost four hours before I was finished writing this Part Two Scene Outline. That meant I only had about two hours to write the first five numeric scene paragraphs for Episode One of this television series. I also had the two Establishing Shots at the beginning of this episode. Writing the Teaser Act for a Part or an Episode is very hard for me to do. Especially, the first ten numeric scenes that introduce the six main characters and their storylines for that Part or Episode. Once I get started writing for these characters and their storylines, it’s not too bad. But those first ten numeric scenes are for me to write. Of course, I only got through the first five numeric scenes today. I still have one main character I haven’t introduced yet. Now that I have introduced most of the main characters for this Scene Outline, I shouldn’t have too many problems with the rest of this Act and Outline. Overall, I got twenty-two paragraphs written today for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. Fifteen to end the Movie Introduction for this television series, the first five numeric scenes for Episode One of this series, and the two Establishing Shots that opened this Act and Episode. That’s a good day of writing if you ask me. Hopefully, tomorrow will be as good as it was today if not a little better. I don’t see how it could be better. But if it’s a good as today I will be happy. Even if it’s about fifteen paragraphs tomorrow I will be happy. Of course, I would prefer it to be more than that. A lot of how many paragraphs I get written tomorrow depends on how much time I have to write them. It also depends on what my brother and I need to do tomorrow and how long it takes to do them. I don’t think my brother and I have too much we need to do tomorrow. If that’s true, I may have another five or six hours to work on this project. If I do have another five or six hours tomorrow, I may be able to get another twenty paragraphs written. I may even get another five to finish writing this Teaser Act. I’m not counting on getting twenty-five paragraphs written tomorrow until it happens. And I doubt that will happen tomorrow.
