My week and Starting a Spooky Story.
I got down to the drug store to get my prescription today. They will be starting to give out flu shots and COVID boosters on Monday, so I made an appointment. I will getting both of these on Monday. That will be taken care of then. I have been getting my flu shot for years, and I started getting my COVID shots as soon as they became available a few years ago. Taking care of yourself is so important. It should be a quiet week. There won't be any trick-or-treaters on our small lane on Thursday, but I will be spending my week with my Halloween movies and, maybe a few other creepy ones.

I didn't realize that there could be anything spooky in a hospital, but I was wrong. I was walking down a corridor after visiting my aunt. It was just dusk, so I wanted to get home before it was dark out. I don't like driving in the dark. I rounded the corner, and a little boy was just standing there. His brown hair looked tousled like from being in bed, and he was wearing a hospital gown.
"I can't find my parents," was all he said.
My heart went out to him. "It'll be okay, Honey," I said, "Let's go to the nurses station."
I turned back and started towards the nurses station in the middle of the next hall. I was assuming the boy was following me. As I approached the nurse looked up and smiled.
"Hi," I said, "This little boy can't find his parents, and I'm sure their worried that he is not in his room."
The nurse gave me a strange smile, and I looked around. It was just her and me. The little boy was gone.
The nurse came out from behind the counter and actually hugged me.
"It's alright Ma'am," she said, "That's just Curtis. He means no harm. Pneumonia took him last year, and I guess he can't find his way home. We do what we can when he appears. I suppose I need to call his parents again. Those poor people."
