Two With a Good Reason
Two With a Good Reason

No, I didn’t only get two sections written today for my WDC Short Story for this month. Well, in a way, it is yes. But at the same time, it’s still no. I had about an hour and a half left of the day to write the tenth part of this Short Story. I didn’t think I would have gotten it all written. Most of it maybe. But not all of it.

I decided it was best to not write this tenth section or even most of it today. It was best to finish this WDC Short Story tomorrow for a couple of reasons. One reason is that I still need to create it. The second reason is that I would have only been creating it tomorrow if I almost finished writing it today.

Today was a little bit better than yesterday. My brother and I did have a few things that we needed to get done today. But it didn’t take us that long to do them. As a result, I had about an hour later to work on this WDC Short Story than I did yesterday.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t sure I would even get two parts written today. I got back in plenty of time to do all three sections. But I had some problems concentrating on the eighth part. It took me about half the afternoon to finish writing it. And I don’t know why.

My concentration problem wasn’t from a lack of sleep. I got plenty of sleep last night. So, why did I have a concentration problem today? The only thing I can think of for my concentration problem is the weather. It’s starting to get cold here. And that can affect my writing. Especially, on short stories that I’m writing.

The weather can affect my scriptwriting too. But not as much as my short stories. I think it’s because my short stories are more spontaneous than my scriptwriting. Both are planned ahead of time. But my short stories are spontaneous. There isn’t a pattern to my short stories. Except in the number of sections or parts within them.

Of course, there is a pattern to my Story Outlines and my Scene Outlines in my scriptwriting project. But there isn’t with my scripts themselves. When I write my scripts, they are more spontaneous too. But there is still a pattern to them. It’s kind of hard to explain.

There is a pattern to my scripts. But they are in the number of lines for each scene. The paragraphs within those scenes are the spontaneous part. My short stories are about the same. However, they are more spontaneous within each part or section because they are written in paragraphs and not lines.
