A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
Grammarly is Making It Hard for Me It’s hard writing with no internet access at work. I don’t need it or want it to go online. But I do need to write my short stories, my scriptwriting, my Outlines, etc. Only I can’t do that at work. And it’s hurting me when I do have the internet like I do now that I’m writing this blog entry. Already I have had several Grammarly errors. It’s all because of Grammarly. Grammarly won’t let me write my way. Two good examples of that are my ‘ands,’ and ‘buts.’ I can’t use them to start a paragraph or sentence like everyone else. I won’t start them to write a paragraph, especially the ‘ands.’ But I do with my sentences. At least I was allowed to do them until recently. I’m still not allowed to write a paragraph or sentence with different words. I have to be like everyone else and start them with the same word or name as I have done with the paragraphs and sentences above. I prefer there to be two paragraphs or sentences that start with the same word before I use it again. I’m not allowed to do that anymore. I’m not allowed to use words like ‘still,’ ‘that,’ ‘really,’ ‘very,’ etc. either. Everyone else can use these words in their paragraphs and sentences. But not me. Grammarly wants me to be like everyone else. I can’t be myself. It looks like Grammarly will win. And there is nothing that I can do about it. The only thing that I can do is join them by going to Grammarly Pro. I can’t pay for the yearly Grammarly Pro. But several months ago they started a twelve-dollar-a-month program. I haven’t been able to take advantage of that yet. But now that I have a job again I should be able to afford to start doing that in another month or two. Unfortunately, when I do go to Grammarly Pro I will need to do so serious rewriting of all that I have written lately. I’m talking about my short stories, my scripts, my Outlines, etc. It may take several weeks to months to work that out. Especially, if I need to do a lot of rewriting. And it looks like I will be doing a lot of rewriting. Why am I writing about all my problems with Grammarly? It’s because of what writing I did at work over the weekend. I had to fix a whole lot of it because of no internet access. As a result, I only got nine paragraphs written for the Episode Two Scene Outline. That included five that end Act Two, two Establishing Shots, and two Act Three paragraphs. I should have gotten at least twelve paragraphs written today: five paragraphs to end Act Two, five numeric scenes to start Act Three, and the two Establishing Shots to start Act Three. I should have been able to do a little bit more than that. And I would have probably gotten a few more written if not for the Grammarly Issues. Hopefully, I can do better the rest of this week. After all, this weekend starts the no internet access at work. That means I will need to do a lot of rewriting next Monday and Tuesday again next week, the week after that, and the week after that, etc. The only good thing about all this is the number of paragraphs I get written over the weekend. |
