Almost Done with Part One
Almost Done with Part One

It is taking me a lot longer to update my Scene Outlines than I thought it would take. That’s because of all the rewriting I had to do on Part One of the Movie Introduction Scene Outline. Not only did I need to update the scene paragraphs, but I also had to update the Scene Headings, especially in the Teaser Act.

Almost every Scene Heading needed to be updated if not all of them for the Teaser Act. After all, they all took place at or around the Confinement Location at the Teaser Act. Only I couldn’t fit the Confinement Location in the Scene Heading until I started doing this update. It was just Confinement up til then.

I didn’t only need to change the Confinement Location part of the Scene Headings in the Teaser Act of Part One for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. I also had to update the INT. and EXT. part of it sometimes. I didn’t need to update the first part of my Scene Headings too often. But I did need to update them sometimes.

All this updating of my Scene Headings for the Teaser Act of Part One is the reason why I only got two-thirds of Part One updated yesterday at work. It took me about two hours to get the Teaser Act updated. The other three Acts didn’t take me as long to update. But I barely got them updated by the end of my shift last night at work.

It wasn’t only the Scene Headings that I needed to update, though. I also had to update a lot of the Scene Paragraphs. Some of them were easy to update. I only needed to change a he or she into a character’s name. Other times I had to add a word or two to get the line to within five characters from the end of it.

Speaking of the five characters from the end of a line rule I have given myself, I noticed that most of the lines I needed to update were only six characters from the end instead of five or fewer. Some lines were a little bit longer than six characters and some were a lot longer than that. Sometimes the longer ones were harder to update.

Luckily, updating these paragraphs wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. I had a lot that didn’t need updating at all and some I only needed to update a line or two. Of course, updating these one or two lines often changed the line ending for the lines after them that I needed to update. Luckily, that didn’t happen too often either.

With only about sixty-eight more Scene Headings and Scene Paragraphs left to update, I thought that I would get them done today. Unfortunately, I didn’t. after all, this has been a very typical Monday. I only had a few hours to work on these updates because of what my brother and I needed to get done today.

I was hoping to get these updates finished by the time I return to work this Friday so that I could continue working on my Episode Three and Episode Four Scene Outlines. Now I’m not so sure I will be able to do that after the last couple of days. I hope that I can still do that. But I don’t think that I will now.
