Christmas Lights
"Note: 48-HOUR CHALLENGE : Media Prompt Deadl..."

I couldn't understand all the lyrics but it sounded like this wasn't a happy-happy Christmas song. It sounded like there are troubles and there is hope that Christmas Lights are going to bring some joy.

This made me look at the title in another way.
It said Christmas Lights (Official Video)
I thought - what if it was Christmas Lights (Off)
I guess there are people for whom the lights' are off, even though the time is supposed to be for rejoicing. I guess it's the time to reach out to them.

My friend used to do Christmas parties for economically deprived kids and elders.
She had about 3,000 kids per party (elders were in smaller groups) and at her peak, touched 100,000 kids and elders one year at Christmas. I volunteered sometimes, collecting gifts or doing activities. It was good to be part of those events. A typical party included: A snack / juice; Lunch; Santa Gift; Games/Activities.

My Dad was Santa once, but couldn't do much of an act at that party.
It was at a school we hadn't visited before and the principal and teachers were worried that the kids would tell their parents that we had tried to 'convert' their religion. This would mean some trouble, so we were asked to only give out gifts. To make it up to us for cutting our party short, the principal (himself not a rich guy) treated us to glasses of milk he ordered from a nearby restaurant. We were a bit sad that we couldn't do our party, as our intention wasn't to interfere with anyone's worship, only bring some cheer. I'm a Hindu myself and I keep my Hindu beliefs while helping out at Christmas parties. However, we understood where the school staff was coming from and there were no hard feelings.
