A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here.

I Think I'm Ready
I Think I’m Ready

I didn’t think it would take me too long to write the last two Acts for Episode Four of my Water Wars scriptwriting project, and it didn’t. It took me about two and a half hours to write them. I’m not all that surprised about that, though. After all, it was Act Four and the Tag Act that I needed to finish.

Acts Two and Four are usually written quickly. The same is true about the Tag Act. Act two usually does because it’s action-oriented chiefly. It also ends the first half of an episode. The Fourth Act is usually action-oriented but doesn’t end the episode. The Tag Act ends it. That’s why it’s generally faster to write, too.

Since it only took me about two and a half hours to finish writing my sentences for my Water Wars scriptwriting project, I had around ten and a half hours to work on my spreadsheets for the other two projects I am starting to work on: The Final Ritual project and the DeathBringers Project.

I didn’t think finishing these spreadsheets would take too long, primarily since I had already written them in my head. All I needed to do was write them physically, and I did them in about three hours if it even took me that long to write them.

What does that mean for these projects? This means I had about seven and a half hours to work on setting up the sentences and paragraphs. The sentences for the Act Breakdowns, the Story Outlines, and the Scene outlines. The paragraphs are only for the Story Outlines and the Scene Outlines. Unfortunately, it didn’t go too well.

I had problems setting up these projects, mostly my The Final Ritual project. I do a lot of copying and pasting with my movie projects. After all, the first four Acts are the same as the last eight Acts. I only needed to copy these four Acts into the other eight. I also center the Act titles and numbers.

That was my main problem. My documents didn’t want to center only my Act titles and numbers; they also wanted to center my character names and scene numbers and names. I had a few other problems with my The Final Ritual Science Fiction Family Drama project, but they weren’t too hard to fix.

I didn’t have any problems with the DeathBringers project. I usually break up my Movie Introductions for my television shows into two parts, but I’m not doing that for this series. Since it has four main character storylines, I’m treating it as a feature film.
