Today, New Years and Prayer

Well, I have my flu shot, my COVID shot and we have one of those machines that make coffee with pods. I am happy about the first two and annoyed about the second. My husband knew I didn't want the thing, but went out before I was up and bought it. Now all I can do is smile and agonize about the amount he wasted on it. And, the friend I can no longer speak to has a birthday today, and I can't even wish him a Happy Birthday. I just want this day to end.

I don't really celebrate New Years, not by going out anyway. I would spend the night alone watching television as a teenager while my parents went out. My husband and I usually spend it watching a movie.



The only time I pray is the morning. I welcome God into my day. It was the only way I could think of to welcome Him into my life.
