Ruth
Ruth. This story is about a Moabite woman who marries a Judean man and became a widow. She chooses to stay with her mother-in0law after her husband dies. She wins the love of a wealthy relative and becomes an ancestor of King David.

Ruth is an example of redemption or the deliverance of people who can't save themselves. The story of ruth shows how God guides people's lives in difficult times.

Ruth is a story of compassion, courage, boldness and integrity. She experienced much suffering and sorrow, she also experienced God's first hand at redemption.

Ruth had chosen to become a Jew. She was born into a Pagan family but became a Jew. She decided to stay with her mother-in-law after her husband died. Ruth says she would go where Naomi, her mother-in-law goes and her God will be her God. She had accepted Jesus and God.

God chose Ruth, a foreigner to be part of the lineage of Christ to represent his heart in all people to come into his Kingdom based upon the acceptance of their heart.

After the marriage of Boaz and Ruth, Ruth gives birth to a son. They name him Obed and he will be Jesse's father, who is the father of King David. This places Ruth in the direct lineage of Christ! God blessed Ruth for her Noble character.

Naomi loved Ruth's son like a grandson.

I love reading Ruth. She played a important role in being a saintly woman we admire and wish to be like. She followed her heart and loved God and Jesus.
