A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
Still More Updating to Do With only about two hours to work on my DeathBringers scriptwriting project, I would have only gotten around four to eight more paragraphs written today for the Part One Scene Outline for the Movie Introduction for this project. I probably should have done that, but I still have some updating to do. I did this update instead. I have known for some time that there was something wrong with my formatting of these Outlines and scripts. There are no set rules for formatting Outlines, but I know there are for scripts. I know what the Industry Stands for formatting these scripts, and I thought I set up my script template correctly, but it looks like I haven’t done that. The rules are still the same: one type page of a script equals a minute, but the length of that page is now fifty-five lines long instead of sixty. I thought that I had fixed that, but it appears I have been doing just the opposite. It took me a while to adjust my template to accommodate this new rule, but I think I have done it. I was also wrong with my margins. The left side of the page is one and a half inches, and the other three sides are one inch. That was easy to solve. I just went in and changed the margins. It’s my different Style Guides that were a little harder to solve. I didn’t have to change the Scene Heading style because it’s from margin to margin. It's my Character Name Style Guide, my (Character Directions) Style Guide, and my Dialogue Style Guide that will be more of a problem. These Style Guides shouldn’t be too hard to solve, but they will be harder than the Scene Heading Style Guide. I just didn’t get the chance to update them today. It will probably be Monday before I can do that. I will try to finish this update tomorrow, but I may not have the time to do it until Monday. After all, tomorrow is Friday, and I return to work at eleven PM WDC time tomorrow evening. I usually barely only have enough time to write my blog entry for tomorrow, but sometimes I do get an hour or two to work on my scriptwriting projects. Why didn’t I get any writing done today except for my updating and this blog entry? What is the usual reason why I don’t get any writing done except for my blog entries? That’s right, it’s because of what my brother and I needed to do today. We didn’t have that much we needed to do, but it took us most of today to accomplish it.
