Korean Springtime

Springtime in Korea
Begins in late March
As the weather wakes up
From the deep freeze
Of a Korean Siberian winter.

As the snow fades away
The flowers begin blooming
People walk around smiling.

Eating spring
mountain vegetables
And drinking with friends.

As the Spring springs
Hope comes back.

And love is in the air

as Koreans say.

Despite the yellow dust
Haze blowing in from China.
