A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
Don’t Shoot the Writer Just before I headed into work this evening at eleven PM WDC Time today, I was thinking about where I left off on my Water Wars Scriptwriting project. I had a few minutes before I left for work. So, I checked out where I left off on this project. I found out I was right about where I left off, but I was wrong about the last time I wrote in it. It has been almost two weeks since I worked on my Water Wars scriptwriting project. That’s not all I thought about before I headed to work this evening. I was also thinking about this project, and I think it’s best that I somewhat start all over again with this project. It’s not as bad as it reads, though. I don’t need to start it from scratch. The original format is still the same. So are the storylines. It’s how I’m representing it that has changed. I like the format as it has been lately with the same character name beginning and ending each Part or Episode. Now, it’s two characters that begin and end each Part or Episode. Why have I decided to reformat this project again? It’s because of the single scenes between two of the characters between Act Two and Act Three. I can accept each character separately by one Act, but not by one scene. I have never liked this formatting, but I thought that I could live with it. If it was only the Acts between these two characters, I could still live with it, but it’s not. It’s also a single scene between them, and I have never liked that. There will indeed be two Establishing Shots starting Act Three, but that’s not enough. After all, those Establishing Shots are a part of the first scene of that. So, they are still the first scene, and that means they are still only one scene separating these two characters. This reformatting is better. At least, I think that it is. It’s not as bad as it reads, though. Only Part One and Part Two of the Movie Introduction for my Water Wars scriptwriting project will be affected by this because I’m almost done writing the paragraph Scene Outlines for these Parts, but it’s only the second half of these Outlines that I will need to rewrite. The first half should say the same. It took me almost my whole shift to finish setting up these sentence Outlines and my Paragraph Outlines. Right now, the second half is the same as the first half, but I will erase what I need to change. It shouldn’t take me too long to do this, but the rewriting of these sentences could be. I should get these sentences finished during my twelve-hour shift tomorrow evening and overnight early Sunday morning. Hopefully, I will have about half this shift to start working on these paragraph Scene Outlines, but I won’t count on that happening until it does. After all, it took me more time than I thought to set this up again. |
