Into the Wind

The Dragon

Children laugh and play at his feet
Even though they are his treat
A single breath fire unleashed
Whistling between his sharp teeth

The fae who come to watch and play
Know the dangers he can display
His wings beat at them furiously
But they are stronger curiously

The fae they try to save the child
Who wanders closer as he is wild
A dragon who is impressive
A dragon who is progressive

He wants to take each one with him
So he offers a scaly skin
For each child to grasp and hold
Then he'll fly away so bold
