It’s That Time of the Month

I have been checking all day today several times, and there is still no WDC ‘What a Character’ contest prompt for this month yet. I’m not too surprised about that. It may not come out until Saturday this month. After all, it’s the third day of the month, and it falls on the weekend. WDC likes to post its prompts on the weekend.

They have prompted them before the weekend when the first, second, or third doesn’t fall on the weekend. Usually, it’s the second day of the week when they prompt their next WDC prompt for the month. Sometimes, it can be the first day of the month, but it usually doesn’t happen that way too often. If it’s earlier than three days, it’s usually two days.

It doesn’t look like it will happen today. After all, it’s almost eleven PM WDC time. That’s only about an hour until the end of today. It will probably be tomorrow before it’s posted at the earliest. This could be the month it’s not posted until the third of the month.

One of the other two contests that I submit short stories to often has a prompt for this month, but I don’t think I will enter this contest this month. The one contest I often enter hasn’t come up with a prompt yet. That usually means they won’t have one this month either.

Until I get one or both of these prompts, I will start working on one or both of them. After all, the WDC prompt takes priority over any other writing I do for that month, especially any other short stories. It doesn’t look like I will have two short stories again this month, but if I do, I will write the WDC Short Story first.

What have I been doing all day besides looking for the WDC prompt for this month? I have been working on the first four episodes for my DeathBringers scriptwriting project
most of the day today. My brother and I had a few things we needed to do today, but it didn’t take us that long to do them. I had plenty of time to work on this project.

Unfortunately, I’m still in the setup phase for this anthology television series. Why didn’t I get more written on this project? It’s because this is a lot harder to write than my Water Wars scriptwriting project. Maybe it’s because it’s an anthology television series. Then again, it may be something else.

Why am I having so many problems with my DeathBringers television series? I think it’s because of the way I set up each of the three main characters for these episodes, with a short synopsis before I write their Act Breakdowns. That’s right, I wrote three main characters for these episodes.
