A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
Another Very Busy Tuesday I’m still waiting for the WDC prompt to show up. I just checked WDC and it’s still not there. That’s not too big of a surprise. After all, it is only the first of July. I thought it may come in today because this is a special WDC Short Story Contest this month, but it doesn’t look like it will. Maybe overnight tonight, it will come in. This month, the prompt will be a musical one. So, I may or may not enter this contest this year, either. If I remember correctly, I didn’t enter it last year. It’s not that it’s a musical one. I have done the Musicalogy Challenge several times. It is the music prompt itself. I never know if I should write the Short Story based on the title or the lyrics. Several times, I have emailed Jeff about this question, and if I remember correctly, he has said it could be either the song title, the lyrics, or both. At least I think that’s what he said. I’m not going to contact him again about this. He doesn’t like it when I do that. That’s enough about the WDC prompt for this month. Now, it’s time for the bad news. I only got seventy-five sentences written for the Scene Outline of Part Two of my four-part DeathBringers mini-series, aka the first half of this scene Outline. Why did I only get seventy-five sentences written today? What is the usual reason why I didn’t get more than seventy-five sentences written today? That’s right, it’s because of what my brother and I needed to do today. We didn’t have a lot of things we had to accomplish today, but what we did need to do was time-consuming. It took us most of today to finish doing them. As a result, only seventy-five sentences. I only had about three hours to work on this project. That’s about twenty-five sentences or about five paragraphs every hour. The way this looks, I did very well today on my Part Two Scene Outline for my DeathBringers mini-series. I agree, this is very good writing, but it should have been better. Why wasn’t it better? It should have been better because it took me about an hour and a half to finish writing the twenty-five sentences for the Teaser Act of this Part. I didn’t think that I would get another twenty-five sentences written today, let alone another fifty. Luckily, these other fifty sentences also only took me about an hour and a half. Unfortunately, tomorrow may be the same way. I may be lucky if I get another seventy-five sentences written tomorrow. That’s if the WDC prompt doesn’t come in before I start writing these sentences tomorrow, and I decide that I am going to write this Short Story after all. P.S. I was about to post this blog entry for today when My Favorites showed up with the new WDC prompt for this month. It’s another song and artist I don’t recognize, but it is a title that I can work with, and the rules say that I can only use the title if I want to. I don’t need to use the lyrics if I don’t want to use them. |
