At about noon to around twelve-thirty WDC time, the prompt for my second Short Story was posted. That means I will be spending my weekend at work, working on these two short stories. My WDC Short Story should be done between six PM this evening and six AM tomorrow morning.

I may even have some time to start working on my second Short Story for this month this evening and tomorrow morning. Unfortunately, I just read the prompt. So far, all I have done is set up a document for this prompt. I don’t even have a title for this Short Story yet.

Of course, I have been trying to remember a Short Story that goes along with this prompt. That’s not my problem, though. I have remembered several short stories that I can write in connection with this prompt. Now all I need to do is figure out which one I will write for this contest.

It doesn’t matter which one I choose to write for this contest. I won’t win this contest. I’ve never won this contest, and I never will. Especially, now that the writer who hates me and has banned me from their contest is entering this contest will make it even harder for me to win it.

There is one other writer who writes for this contest on a regular basis, like me. They are the one who usually wins these contests. Sometimes, someone else may win them, but this individual wins most of them. At least they did until the writer who hates me started writing for this contest.

Why do I write these short stories when I know that I will never win these contests? It’s because of the challenges. I like a good challenge, especially when it comes to my Science Fiction short stories, and the host of this contest is very good at giving me challenges with his prompts.

What do I mean by this? It means the host of this contest wants short stories about the Earth, Earth Colonies, Earth Exploration, etc. I don’t write short stories about the Earth in my Science Fiction short stories. There are plenty of other writers out there who write these short stories.

My Science Fiction short stories are about the rest of the universe. That’s another reason why I never win any of these contests. It’s also why the writer who hates me has banned me from their contests. They also want me to be like everyone else who writes Science Fiction short stories.

Now that this writer who hates me is part of this contest, I wonder how long it will be before I am also banned from this contest. Will this be my last Short Story for this contest? I hope that it won’t be. Another reason why I need to figure out the best Short Story to write for this contest.

It looks like I may be wrong about this being the writer who hates me. I looked this writer up, and it appears they only host the ‘Dialogue 500’ contest. The writer I am thinking about hosts several Science Fiction contests, and I can’t look him up because I am also banned from their Portfolio.

Sorry for this misunderstanding, but the two names are almost the same. The writer I’m thinking about has an ‘E’ instead of a ‘D,’ and their last name has two ‘Ls’ instead of one ‘L.’ Once again, I am very sorry for my ranting and raving about this writer and this contest in this way.
