We traveled on the coach to Kearney, Nebraska. The scenery is nice. We stopped at Burger King and I had my chicken fries and onion rings. I read a Danielle Steel Book. WakeUpAndLive~NOV Word Monger   Maid of the Mist Most Macabre  were knitting. StephBee  is writing a romance novel on her lap top. Šuŋgmánitu Tȟáŋka  played a video game. AmyJo-Where did 2025 go???   Witchy Woman  Jellyfish Busyfish were reading. We are here at the Oregon Trail. The Great Platte River Road. We meet up with a guide who tells a sad story about the Oregon Trail. Some didn't make it. We go on a hike. A long walk. Early auto travel. The roads weren't so great. We have a picnic on the Archway grounds. Witchy Woman made chicken and potato salads. I snuck in some tuna. StephBee bought tuna salad. Šuŋgmánitu Tȟáŋka had made some chili. WakeUpAndLive~NOV Word Monger Jellyfish Busyfish Maid of the Mist Most Macabre AmyJo-Where did 2025 go??? and I bought chocolate chip cookies, chocolate cream pies, pretzels, chips and dips. After that, we went to the souvenir shop. I bought magnets, postcards, hand blown glass hummingbirds, a gnome. We went to the car exhibit. Nice. We see a orange 1957 Chevy, Corvettes, motorcycles. I went to look at a purple 1969 Mustang. This is my car. Šuŋgmánitu Tȟáŋka was gone for a hour looking at cars. Witchy Woman WakeUpAndLive~NOV Word Monger AmyJo-Where did 2025 go??? Maid of the Mist Most Macabre liked the motorcycles and I did, too. The 60's one. I started singing Born To Be Wild and Peter Fond come and get me and we will ride the highways together. Jellyfish Busyfish AmyJo-Where did 2025 go??? liked the car that looked like the one on I Love Lucy. A pink Cadillac. The old cars and motorcycles are neat.We go see the sandhill cranes. They made a lot of noise. There were quite a few. They seem to like humans. We walked along beside them. We went and got ice cream at a store near by. Another neat day. |
