Fulfilling God's call in assembly

The verses below are fairly well known as Christians seek to keep their fire alive and are aware that the Holy Spirit is present in gatherings of his People. Based on these verses and this chapter I wonder do we fulfill our purpose in going to a church and does my church fulfill it's purpose for those who go to it?

Hebrews 10 24-25 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
