Why is it so hard to be unashamed

It looks like Israel is again not standing up for their rights and will not fully take back Gaza. They have this right not only as a nation which is justly subduing those who hate it but giving away land which is not theirs to give. Naturally there is and always will be extreme pressure not to stand up. This is just as true in our daily lives as Christians. It is so easy to compromise on what has been given to us by God. Our unalienable rights such as those of life, and liberty are also under attack. Do we defend them not because they are ours, but because they are given to us by God?We like the Israelites sin when we do not defend what has been given to us. This is not because it is ours, but because it is an inheritance from the Lord.
