A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
Continue with ‘The Final Ritual’ I thought that I remembered where I left off last Monday morning while at work with my scriptwriting project, ‘The Final Ritual,’ but I just looked before starting this blog entry to see if I was right. I was right about where I left off, but knowing where I left off wasn’t my only reason for looking at this Folder and its documents. When I was working on the Story Outline for this project, I didn’t like the way it was being updated. It was updated with the secondary characters of Kealor, Pallim, Tylmer, and Corma without too many problems. All I needed to do was give them a background existence for their characters and storyline. I also needed to update when Hummannan died. In the original storylines and format, I had Hummannan die at the beginning of the movie in the first scene. An update version of this movie had him starting to die at the beginning, but he didn’t actually die until the end of the Teaser Act, aka the Teaser Act cliffhanger. This version, he won’t be dying until the end of Act Two and Dinill’s storyline. The death will actually happen in Act Two, Scene Twenty, with Corma seeing it happen, but Dinill will be the one who sees it happen in one of his Death Visions. With the earliest version, Dinill and Marri didn’t appear until the beginning of Act One. They weren’t in the Teaser Acts and the Tag Acts. At least they weren’t with their storylines. My updated version had Dinill and Marri beginning and ending each Act. That made them only one Act away from those beginnings and endings, and I don’t like that, but it’s better than the original version. After all, this movie is mainly about Dinill and Marri. It’s mainly about Dinill, but it’s also about Marri and their Young Ones, Wallina, and Sondre. It shouldn’t take me too long to update the Dinill and Marri storylines for the Teaser Act, Act One, and Act Two of this Story Outline. After all, that’s as far as I had gotten last weekend when I started working on this scriptwriting project again. Once I finish updating these storylines, I will continue working on this Story Outline. Will I finish writing these updates and Story Outline during my twelve-hour shift today, starting at six PM WDC time and ending at six AM WDC Time? I should be able to finish this Outline this evening and early tomorrow morning. It all depends on how busy it gets at work, and how many problems I have that will slow me down in finishing this Outline. The last few Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings have been very busy and complicated at work for me lately. I think it’s a Summer thing. If that’s true, I may not get this Story Outline finished during this twelve-hour shift. Even with it being busy and complicated, I still think I will get this Outline finished this Saturday evening and Sunday morning. |
