apple father's Son (Re-created)

Sam Adams father
grew up on an apple farm
in Yakima, Washington


he left home
eventually getting
PHD from Harvard

and becoming
a college professor
served in the government

but he never
forgot his roots
spent his summers
in Yakima


dragging his wife
and kids
to help out
on the family farm

and he had his own apple tree
in Berkeley
which he loved
taking care of


only time Sam felt
his father was truly happy
was when he was working
in his garden

tending to the apple trees
and other fruit trees

in the end
he was just
an Appple Father's son
