Phase One Finally Finished
Phase One Finally Finished

There are three Phases in my scriptwriting process. Phase One is for the sentence Act Breakdowns, Story Outlines, and Scene Outlines, while Phase Two is the paragraph Story Outlines and Scene Outlines. After Phase One and Phase Two are completed, Phase Three begins, aka the scripts continued from the Phase Twos. They aren’t based on Phase Two, though.

I finally finished Phase One of my scriptwriting projects that I’m currently working on, aka Water Wars, DeathBringers, The Final Ritual, Skinless, The Life of Billia and Helleni, and Calkin Cove. Water Wars and DeathBringers are my mini-serieses and television serieses. The Final Ritual, Skinless, The Life of Billia and Helleni, and Calkin Cove are my movies.

I’m ready to start Phase Two of these scriptwriting projects, aka the paragraph Story Outlines and Scene Outlines. I will be starting with the Story Outlines, but I’m not sure if I will do all of them before I start writing the Scene Outlines for this project. After all, the Scene Outlines will take a whole lot longer to get done.

Why will the Scene Outlines take so long to get written? It’s because the Scene Outlines are the paragraph equivalent of the scripts. They used to be called Treatments or just Outlines, but now they are called Scene Outlines. At least I think that is what they are called now. If I’m wrong about that, I’m sure someone will point that out to me sooner or later.

The paragraph Story Outlines tells the story for that mini-series Part, Episode, or movie. There are usually about seven to nine paragraphs for every Act in these Parts, Episodes, or movies, with each paragraph representing a main or secondary character for that Part, Episode, or movie. My paragraph Story Outlines are also structured. At least that’s what I call it.

What do I mean by structured? It means that the length of my paragraphs for my Story Outlines is based on whether they are main character storylines or secondary character storylines. The main character storylines are five lines long paragraphs, while the secondary character storylines are four lines. It’s similar for my paragraph Scene Outlines.

My paragraph Scene Outlines are similar to the number of lines for each paragraph, but they aren’t similar to the main or secondary characters’ storylines. They are similar based on what Scene Number they represent. The Establishing Shots are three lines long in my paragraph Scene Outlines, and the others are four, five, or six lines long.

The four-line paragraphs represent the Scenes Twos, Fours, Sevens, and Nines. My five-line paragraphs represent the Scenes Ones, Threes, Sixes, and Eights. As for the six-line paragraphs, they represent the Scenes Fives and Tens. That’s what I mean by structured. It’s not the same for my scripts. After all, scripts are structured in that way.

How are my scripts structured, but not structured? They are structured in the overall length of each Scene within an Act. All my scenes are based on fifteen seconds, aka fifteen lines. Only they aren’t all fifteen seconds/lines long. The Ones, Threes, Sixes, and Eights are fifteen seconds/lines long, but the other scenes are that long or are longer.

There are only thirteen seconds/lines for my Scene Twos, Fours, Sevens, and Nines. My Scene Fives and Tens are nineteen seconds/lines long. That’s because my Scenes Fives and Tens are usually action-oriented. The Scene Ones, Threes, Sixes, and Eights can also be somewhat Action-oriented, but not as much as the Scenes Fives and Tens.

I know that there are no Acts in movies, unless they are television movies, but that’s how I write my sentences and paragraphs for my Act Breakdowns, Story Outlines, and Scene Outlines. The scripts themselves won’t include these Act titles, unless they become television movies. That isn’t what I want, but these movies could become television movies.
