Day 25 prep 2025 Plot background story

Raven sat in his red corvette, waiting for his perfect opportunity. He was so tired of Abraham always stealing his glory. Today, would be the last day he would ever walk in that man's shadow again. He was going to see to it. This time Raven would steal from him. As he sat there thinking about what he was going to do, he felt almost giddy.

Just then, Abraham pulled his car into the driveway and parked. Raven said under his breath, "That's right! Go on in and rest now. Lay your head on your pillow and dream a good dream. Tomorrow, it's all going to end." Abraham was unaware he was being watched. He got out of his car and warily made his way to the front door where his wife met him with a kiss.

After a few minutes of no activity, Raven crept up to the front of the house and peaked in the window. Shep, their pet German shepherd, growled an alert. Raven ducked back out of sight. Ayah, Abraham's wife looked out the window while patting the dog on the head. "What do you see, boy? I don't see anything. Come on! Let's go get ready for bed." As she moved towards the bedroom, she asked her husband, "Aren't you coming too?"

He replied, "Yes, I'll be there in a minute dear."

It wasn't long until husband and wife were in their bedroom with their dog at the back of the house. Raven took another quick peek in the window. This time, all was clear and the street was so quiet, only the crickets could be heard and a dog barking at a distance. Raven took out the spare car key he had taken from Ayah's purse earlier that week without her knowing it. Quietly, he opened the car without triggering the alarm and pulled the hood release. He made his way around to the front and raised the hood. Then he used his phone like a flashlight and cut the cable to the brake pedal with the tool he had brought in his pocket. He lowered the hood as quietly as he could and removed any evidence he had been there.

Heart pounding with the anticipation and excitement of what he had just done, he said to himself, "There! That should fix you! You'll never be able to get in my way again! Now we just wait!"
