| Vulnerable Voyagers script *****Chapter 1 script********** Episode One: Page 1: 4 panels ***************** Panel One: (wide panel) Caption: Captain Bobby Ackerman introduced himself to the passengers, 52 year old civilian psychologist Andres Lopez, and 30 year old civilian scientist Cherry Cummins. Bobby: “I’m captain Bobby Ackerman, welcome aboard the Intrepid. My co-pilot is commander Ryan Blaine, and our engineer is Lucas Lawson. This will be our civilization’s first journey to a giant world in an alternate universe!” Panel Two: Cherry: “Will we make contact with some of the giants?” Panel Three: Bobby: “Yes, that is part of our mission!” Panel Four: (wide panel) Bobby: “They are 72 times bigger than we are. By the standard of measurement on Earth, a grown man from our world would stand about one inch tall according to the people of Earth!” Page 2: 3 panels ***************** Panel One: (wide panel) Caption: When the Captain returned to the cockpit, the psychologist, Andres Lopez, turned and looked at Cherry. Andres: “How did you qualify for this mission?” Cherry: “I have a dual PhD in biochemistry and quantum chromodynamics. And you?” Panel Two: (wide panel) Andres: “I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology. I won a lottery allowing me to gain a ticket for this mission. I don’t actually believe we will journey to another world, I just wanted to study the minds of the people on this mission, so I could write a paper about it!” Panel Three: (wide panel) Cherry: “I’ve studied the quantum theories that will drive this craft to another universe, and the science is very sound,” said Cherry. “We’re definitely heading to another universe. It is believed that our continuum was created by human scientists, because we exist on a smaller scale than they do. My job is to study those differences.” Page 3: 5 panels ***************** Panel One: (wide panel) Andres: “It might seem sound to you, but I have a 105 IQ, and I know that something like this is impossible.” Panel Two: Cherry: “You make a 105 IQ sound impressive, my IQ is in the 180s.” Panel Three: Andres: “They must’ve made a mistake when you took your IQ test,” Panel Four: Cherry: “Why would you say that?” Panel Five: Andres: “No woman could possibly have a higher IQ than me!” Page 4: 3 panels ****************** Panel One: (wide panel) Caption: Meanwhile, in the cockpit, Captain Ackerman was ready to lift off. His co-pilot was in the seat next to him, while the engineer was in a seat behind them. Panel Two: (wide panel) Caption: The captain informed the two passengers over the intercom that the Intrepid was heading into space, and would soon merge into another reality. Panel Three: (wide panel) Caption: Cherry and Andres could feel the thrusters kick in as they blasted off. Page 5: 3 panels ***************** Panel One: (wide panel) Caption: passenger section, the two civilian passengers continued their conversation… Cherry: “To tell you the truth, I don’t see how someone with such an average IQ such as you even qualified for this mission!” Panel Two: (wide panel) Andres: “I paid a computer hacker to rig the lottery in my favor, so I could win a seat on board the Intrepid!” Panel Three: Cherry: “I knew there had to be an explanation for how someone with your lower qualifications got a ticket to come with us! Only top scientists were supposed to be on this mission!” Page 6: 4 panels ***************** Panel One: Andres: “The fact that I was able to manipulate my way on board indicates my higher IQ,” Panel Two: Cherry: “In no way is a 105 IQ considered above average!” Panel Three: (wide panel) Andres: “The fact that I’m Latino proves I have a higher IQ than yours, you just can’t comprehend it! Statistically speaking, whites have lower IQs than Latinos.” Panel Four: (wide panel) Cherry: “Latinos almost took over the world 70 years ago, but all that Mexican supremacy philosophy was propaganda put out by Mexican Nationalists,” said Cherry. “Latinos don’t have higher IQs than anyone else.” Page 7: 3 panels ***************** Panel One: (wide panel) Caption: The Intrepid emerged into space as it left the atmosphere… Panel Two: Caption: The captain manipulated the control console to activate the continuum shifting apparatus. Panel Three: (wide panel) Caption: They instantly emerged into another reality. Page 8: 3 panels ***************** Panel One: (wide panel) Caption: Lucas Lawson, the engineer, was monitoring the Internet of this alternate reality… Lucas: “Judging by their Internet, I would say they’re about 100 years behind us technologically.” Panel Two: (wide panel) Ryan: “How can that be possible? Temporal reconnaissance probes didn’t indicate a lower technological level than ours!” Panel Three: (wide panel) Lucas: “Temporal reconnaissance probes only analyzed the scale of this world and its inhabitants, they weren’t programmed to analyze their Internet.” Page 9: 6 panels ***************** Panel One: Bobby: “We’re caught in the gravity well of the giant world, we’re coming in too steep! We’ll have to crash land in a rural area!” Panel Two: Caption: The Intrepid crash landed near a home in a big field… Panel Three: Caption: Cherry and Andres unfastened their seat belts, as the captain made his way back to the passenger section to check in them. Panel Four: Caption: Seeing that they were both okay, he returned to the cockpit. Panel Five: Andres: “I’m going to prove that this giant world is just a simulation!” [Andres opened the gull wing door and exited the Intrepid.] Panel Six: Caption: He headed off toward the giant house in the distance… |
