A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here.

About Four Hours Again Today
About Four
Hours Again Today

When I was writing my blog entry for yesterday, I wasn’t sure how much time I would have to spend on writing the paragraphs for my Story Outline for my ‘Skinless’ scriptwriting project. Now, I know. I had about four hours again to work on this project.

If I averaged the same number of paragraphs I got written during the last few days of writing these paragraphs, I would average about four paragraphs every hour. That’s what I did again today. I wrote another sixteen paragraphs again today, aka about fifteen minutes for each paragraph.

Fifteen minutes doesn’t read or sound like it’s very good writing. Maybe it isn’t for most writers, but it is for me. Of course, I would like to write more than four paragraphs each hour I’m working on my writing, but if I can get four paragraphs an hour, I consider it a good day of writing.

Besides, it’s not just the writing of these paragraphs. It’s also how I write them. For Zaydra, she has two four-sentence scenes and one five sentence scenes for each act in this movie. I have to transcribe those four or five sentences into a five-line paragraph. That’s not easy to do sometimes.

I know what I want to write in these paragraphs, but sometimes I don’t know how to write it. That’s not the only problem I have with these sentences and paragraphs sometimes. Sometimes I have problems with my sentence Act Breakdown, my Story Outline, and my Scene Outlines. I need to update them sometimes.

All this updating and figuring out how to write these paragraphs is the reason why it takes me about fifteen minutes to write these paragraphs. That still isn’t my only problem. I also have a problem with line endings. They are sometimes more than five characters short.

When it comes to ending a line in my paragraphs, I don’t like to have more than five characters at the end of it. If it’s six or more characters at the end of a sentence, I need to fix that somehow. Sometimes, I can do that with a word or two, and sometimes I need to rewrite the whole line.

It’s okay if these blog entries are more than five characters in a line of a paragraph. Even when writing a Short Story, the ending of lines of more than five characters isn’t a big deal, even though I also try to make it less than five in my short stories. It’s different for my scriptwriting projects.

It isn’t different from my sentence Act Breakdowns, Story Outlines, and Scene Outlines, except that they are not more than sixty characters long. It’s different for my paragraph Story Outlines and Scene Outlines. After all, that’s what will be read by the professionals in the industry.

I’m still not sure about the number of hours that I will have to work on this project or the number of paragraphs that I will be able to write for these hours tomorrow, but I’m hoping that it will be another four or more hours. If I do get that many hours, I could get another sixteen paragraphs written.

I only need two more paragraphs written to finish writing Teaser Act Two. If I can also get that done, plus Act Five and Act Six written tomorrow, that will equal another sixteen paragraphs. It will also finish writing three-fourths of this Story Outline for my ‘Skinless’ scriptwriting project.
