Hudud law
I'm a Christian living in Malaysia. For most part, I like the Malays, as most of them I know are rather hard-working and enjoy getting to know their friends from the other races. However, there are still those who try to control others by the use of religion. I've noticed this pattern in many ancient governments and I see that some are still practising it today. Why is it that they can't keep the secular world and the spiritual apart? Are they still neardanthals? :p
As you can guess, I'm rather pissed off, and with good reason. You see, the political party that implemented this law seems to have the motto, "Better to imprison a thousand innocent women than to allow one guily woman go free." The key word is woman. If a woman is raped and can't prove it, she's to be caned 70 times and then she's to be imprisoned for 2-5years. Does this makes sense to you? And then you have some stupid joker saying that because men are born with 'strong' desires, women have to cover themselves up. What's this? Do they have no SHAME? Trust a backward man to come up with this idea. They have no control and they blame us. Hypocrites! ;p
