I was laughing much more, smiling till it hurt,
I was glad when things were going wrong,
I was enjoying life, enjoying time, enjoying everyday,
I was happy since you came along.

I was drifting away, I was discovering myself,
I was lost in the moment, finding my faults, forgetting the cost,
I was unaware of the pain I caused, unaware of the sorrow,
I was foolish since you were lost.

I was listening to the others, listening to their fears,
I was accepting their rebellion, accepting their decision,
I was watching them watch each other, I was trying to belong,
I've been too busy since you are gone.

I want to say I'm sorry, I want to say good-bye,
