Once Upon A Shadow, Deep Inside A Dream

The Valley

I close my eyes,
to dream of a place,
where everyone tries,
to stop the pain.

It's a valley,
deep and wide.
A lush, green valley,
with houses near and far.

But, of all the houses,
one stands out.
A noise arouses,
the valley from it's sleep.

Wait! The valley is fading,
disappearing as though never there.
My dream is over.
No, wait! It's just begun.
