Thoughts of Love

Once I saw you,
then I knew,
that I would always love your smile,
and I would travel any mile,
just to see you once more,
I would knock on every door,
just to seek you out,
so that there would be no doubt,
about how much you mean to me,
and how at your side I long to be.
Forever may we never part,
you hold the key to my heart.
I shall belong to you,
for as long as you want me to.
If someone should come along,
and sing to you a love song,
which turned you love from me,
just know that I'll always love thee.
No matter what the weather is to be,
I will love you till all the seas,
dry up and show their treasure,
I will extend every measure.
And if you won't come back to me,
I will allow you to go free,
but in my heart you will remain,
a permanent love stain.
So heed my words and be aware,
that I do a whole lot more than care,
refuse me not what I seek,
allow only our love to speak.
I love you so and now I dare,
to ask you, "Do you think it's fair,
that I should sit and wait for you,
to love me as I do you?"
Do not hesitate to answer me,
for until you do, neither of us will be free.
Do not allow a lie to leave,
your lips for then my heart will cleave,
and a death by a broken heart is worse,
than even the most horrible curse.
If you must turn me away,
be very gentle this day,
because it is my heart to which you speak,
and it is only love I seek.
Tread softly my sweet angel,
