discombobulated...I love it when I can find the perfect time to use this word. It's one of those words you just love to throw into a conversation whenever you get the chance! However, I really would rather not experience the feeling personally. Because of the awful, icky fire ant bites on my left hand and wrist, I had to switch my watch onto my right wrist for a couple of weeks. If you've never had to switch which wrist you wear your watch on, do it for a few hours and you'll feel the sense of discombobulation. The whole world seems tilted on its axis, simply because I'm looking at my watch from a different angle. My elbow feels awkward because I try to turn it to the same degree that my left arm would be in order to create the same angle. I constantly look at my left wrist first, and then pause in confusion. I even notice it takes my brain an extra second or two to register the time once I finally locate my watch because something mystifying is taking place in my world. Maybe it would just be simpler to ask someone else the time! Well, the battle wounds are just about healed, so my suffering shall soon end! |
