Whisper of Truth

Whisper of Truth (Count Down/Count Up)
(About Some Not So Nice Behavior That I Observed Along the Way)

Oh, to be one that is so succesful
Remuneration would be too nice
But then those eyes would be on me
Condemnation from on high
Atop a pedastal
Of self creation
To far to fall
So methinks
Alas
so

So
Attempt
Try again
To be stepped on?
For there is good there
Shining hearts of kindness
Be careful lest you offend
Speak soft, fearing repurcussions
Those in the know have trepidation
Through a whisper, profoundly shared, the truth



This poem was partially inspired by the following quote:

"Treat everyone else's reputation as though it was your own. Speak up when you don't agree with incivility and prejudice. Silence is always heard as agreement. You don't have to yell. A whisper of truth has trumpets in the background."
