flu + finals = no rest for poor shannon, who has already committed the unthinkable sin of pulling two all-nighters in a row right before a gigantic advanced exposition exam. i'm usually pretty good about these things, but everything has been such a damn distraction lately that it seems impossible to actually take the time to sit down and study during regular-people hours, and even when i do krystle's here and we're joking around and laughing, and it's just really really hard to be a good student when everything else is so many million times more exciting.

my excruciating topic for the next in a series of a dozen term papers, due friday: "what is literature?" HELP. she obviously doesn't want to hear the working definition i'd find on dictionary.com, she wants to know how i feel about the fact that stephen king took home the same lifetime achievement award given to the ray bradburys and toni morrisons of earlier generations, and i don't know if i have it in me to spend fifteen pages confessing that i really really really liked pet sematary.

okay, so this post was boring and largely academic, but next time around i get to talk about in-vitro fertilization! which means sidnee and alan! yay!

(here, i would think, is where it becomes obvious that i have a real problem with moodswings.)
