HE, MY BEST FRIEND

HE, MY BEST FRIEND

[A young heart yearning for success in love]


Sometimes it is best to let go,
And, go ahead, not back away.
No looking back in path of love,
No heeding what the others say.

I simply know I am in love,
I don’t know what all lies ahead.
My love is guided by my heart,
Love is not guided by the head.

Sometimes I get confused and I
Do not know what is good or bad.
I know we two will be happy,
And without you, I will be sad.

I am sure that in previous
Life also we were together.
We must have lived a life of love,
To have earned a chance another.

Sometimes when the clouds are too dark,
I lose all hope and go astray.
When I feel my love is threatened,
Then, to God almighty, I pray:

‘Lord do bestow Your grace on us.
Only on You do we depend.
Kindly bring we two together
For this Yourself be my best friend’.

‘Lord do bestow Your grace on us.
Only on You do we depend.
Kindly bring us together and
You Yourself, Lord, be my best friend’.
