more tears
and today he did not have school, it was a staff development day, so like an idiot (will I never learn?), i took him to the park, where he became quickly agitated, running around the perimeter of the place, grunting loudly, stopping briefly at the firetruck piece of equipment where a kid half his age imitated his grunting and asked his mommy what's wrong with that little boy?...

and me hearing echoes of andy saying "he's not as smart as you" but I can't make myself say it and the tears are in my eyes so I make my voice low and steady as possible and I say to the mother my son has autism and she is kind and luckily Jonah runs off to the swing but then so does this woman's kid and she lifts her kid into one swing and i try to do the same with jonah, but now he is fighting me and kicking...

and my hair is in my face and my glasses on the ground, and this poor woman tries to ask if she can help, and now the tears are falling, and i get jonah out of the swing and he is off running again, moaning and screaming...

...and we are freaks, we are the freaks of the world stepping on all the boundaries, filling them with tears......
