WILL YOU LOVE ME?

You say that your love is such,
You can’t live without me much.

You say your peace I do rob;
That I am your true heart throb.

You say your love is complete,
With adoration, replete.

For me you can sacrifice
Even your life in a trice.

Of this I’ve no inkling
Just tell me truly one thing:

Will you love me if you find
That I have a past behind?

Will you love me if I can’t
Cook or fill your every want?

Will you yet be reconciled
If I can’t bear you a child?

Will you love me if my face,
Of beauty, loses all trace?

Will you truly love my heart?
Will I be, of you, a part?
