My Inner Critic
I have seen my inner critic and he looks like the devil. Oh he does not have the cloven hooves, the goat like beard or horns, but he is the devil. The reason I say this is that my inner critic can be defeated by prayer. When I say a prayer of protection before starting a writing project or any type of project, then my inner critic fades into the back ground.
It is interesting that I call my inner critic or even satan he; because neither is an entity with physical form. However, the voice of my inner critic has a maleness to it that is unmistakable. Maybe this comes from an experience in my childhood (which I won't go into here, but will probably write about in an essay at some later date).
I seem to be doing a poet thing here i.e. peeling my skin off in public. I am a poet of course. I consider myself a mystic poet, but (with certain exceptions) I usually write any type of poetry. The exceptions are getting fewer and fewer; eventually there will probably be none.
