rocks in my garden
I made my garden with rocks I picked up every time I went to visit my parents while they were living here. It was a new subdivision, so there were lots of piles of dirt and rocks, I guess it was good therapy at the time. I only picked up certain rocks, and it is just amazing the way they all can be fit together so nicely. I even got to rearrange them when I moved and took them with me.
So lately I started thinking what good therapy rocks really are, filling the garden that I pick up, where ever I go, and where ever I find them. My kids and I even used to pick them up at the beach. Although we were choosy there as well, any red rock had to be picked up, and they were the easiest to spot in the murky bottom. Then anything else that was either interesting or pretty, or maybe even just appealed to one of them or myself for any number of reasons was also added to the collection.
It is just such a beautiful natural and theraputic way to make a garden more sentimental and pleasing to the eye.
