ROSE AND LOVE

Why rose is symbol of love,
Have you ever thought?
My thinking on this topic
Has this answer brought:

Rose is a thing of beauty,
It’s joy for ever.
Yet physical beauty is
Permanent never.

When a lover gives a rose,
This is the message:
“For me your beauty is deep
It will never age.

Though wrinkles may show in time,
The face may be staid,
Rosy fragrance of our love
Will not ever fade.

Rose has thorns also though it’s
Tender, delicate;
Path of love is thorny, too,
Not always ornate”.
