Make them all go away!
Why can't I concentrate on ONE project at a time? Growl.

While I greatly enjoy having several projects going on at once, it's not always sunshine and roses.

Sometimes, it's great. If I'm not making progress on one of my books, I can work on another. Sooner or later, I'll find ONE that I can make progress on, and get some writing done.

Other times, though, I have ideas rattling around for several of my projects at once, and just can't stop thinking about one long enough to work on another. Case in point, last night I was trying to get some work done on one of my fantasy novels. I accomplished quite a bit, but my mind kept drifting to my literary novel. I finally had to call it a night on the fantasy novel, and start working on the literary novel's outline. Of course, then one of the OTHER fantasy novels kept creeping into my brain. Go figure.

In the end, it wasn't so bad. I managed to make substantial progress on two books, and jotted some notes down for a third.

Sometimes I just wish I could focus on ONE.
